Diversity Crew | The name

From the urban hip-hop movement, the term “crew” is used for a group of writers, gathered by their means of expression and their will to pass a message, to provoke society. In spite of any characteristics that may define the identities of each group member, a “crew” is united by their common purpose.

Crew also invokes the idea of people that share a journey in a vessel. We see the promotion of diversity and the fight against discrimination as a long journey where different people are on board at different moments and our vessel is our testimonies based on our own life’s experiences.
